GayCapD'Agde August 2-12, 2007

There we go again. My hot partner and I got back from Cap d'Agde just two nights ago, and I'm already daydreaming about going back next year. And then then next. And then the one after that. And so on for the rest of my (our) lives.
TJ (my gorgeous, hot-looking, caring, loving and open-minded partner of 7 years) and myself were there from August 2 to August 12, 2007. We stayed at the Oltra campsite in my surprisingly confortable 3-second tent I bought at Decathlon last year. I liked my first experience by myself at Cap so much last year that I just had to share it with TJ.

The appeal of the naturist quarter of Cap d'Agde is strange, and hard to explain. The beach is fine, but the Mediterranean is surprisingly cold there. The place itself is frankly tacky. There is a large amount of trolls and monsters besides (plenty of) gorgeous looking people. Seeing tons of middle-aged and pot-bellied bank accountants and housewives clad in leather straps and spandex at night can be a shocking and slightly depressing experience.
And yet, the feeling of absolute freedom, open-mindedness and reciprocal acceptance is the highest I have ever experienced. I have yet to attend the Burning Man event in the US, but I've heard similar comments from our friend JJ who attended it last year.
Freedom, acceptance, the experience of equality among humans that in my view derives from being naked. That, and some of the most interesting and beautiful people I've ever met, both (and mostly?) inside, as well as outside.
Such as this older Irish gentleman (and his wife) with whom we struck a conversation at lunch early afternoon on Saturday August 11.
But that's for another posting ;-)
