Gay Cruising in Cap d'Agde - Part 1- The Beach

The first entry in a series.
There's plenty of gay cruising in Cap. Yes, it's mainly "straight swingers's town", but there's always plenty for us gay men, too. As I mentioned, I've been there twice so far, and I could regularly fool around at least 5 times (with of course different men OR groups of men, that is ;-)] a day if I wanted to.

PLEASE ALWAYS REMEMBER: a) I don't advocate for illegal behaviour. Hook up, then take your friend(s) to your tent/room, etc. Or at least do be aware of your surroundings, and don't do anything foolish b) Always play it safe! I always have condoms and lube with me, and you should do the same. I love life. The longer I'll live, the more sex I'll get, don't you agree ;-)?

THE GAY AREA ON THE BEACH: You'll find it about 1/1.3 km to the left of Cap d'Agde's Seaport/Heliopolis. Continue walking left on the beach until you reach the end of the Rene` Oltra campsite, marked by a beach bar (La Buvette de Massilian). Continue walking and you'll notice the beach Police station. To the left of that area (as you continue walking down the beach to the left, that is) you will find the swingers' area. Then you'll notice a path through the bushes to your right hand side, going into the dunes. That marks the beginning of the gay area, and that path leads to the gay (and sometimes swingers', too) "play area".

IMPORTANT: The dunes are a protected area. You may be fined if found there.
Also, two years ago in August the Police were cracking down on beach sex/dune sex. Or at least they tried to ;-). However, last summer (2007) they seemed to keep a watchful eye, and yet didn't seem to bother the swingers nor the gay guys. I heard that Cap d'Agde's administration made it very clear that they were loosing business because of their repressive behaviour. They need to keep Cap a free place and space if they want their business to succeed. I hear that in June the Police don't patrol the beach or the dunes. I haven't been there in June yet, so I cannot confirm.
Anyways, this is a different matter altogether from THE NEED TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT. Do play, feel free, swing around, be whatever you want to be, play safe and have fun, BUT DO protect the environment in the Cap d'Agde area! Don't mess with the dunes. Don't litter. Pick up your trash (that includes condoms and kleenex!).
As far as I am concerned, I would try to stay away from the dunes. I would only venture into the cane woods right next to the campground. Once you get into the clearing, you will find paths. Go straight for about 100 mt., then take the small path that leads into the canewood. You can hook up there if you wish. Of course there are other bushes/clearings in that same area. However, once again, don't venture too far into the dunes, and always be safe and aware!
Do be aware of what is legal and what not.

In case you're wondering, I never felt unsafe at Cap. I was there on the beach at night, too. There were some clear, full moon nights when the temperature was warm, and the place was packed! I met a nice older British guy who, ahem, seemed very happy to meet me (he shot one of the biggest loads I've ever seen ;-). Another good reason why I've always been attracted to married guys. When they go for cock, they really want it!).

In case you're wondering (2), I've played around on the beach. I met this nice Italian couple, mid-50's. The guy's bi and the wife doesn't mind. Actually, she enjoyes watching. He is very nice looking. We started chatting and one thing lead to another. We sucked each other off right there on the beach.
I'm planning on doing much more of that this summer ;-).

The Gay Bar in Cap d'Agde: Le Look

As of last summer, there was only one gay bar in Cap d'Agde, Le Look. It's not bad at all. Actually, it was quite fun. We were there pretty much every night. It's located in Port Nature, in the arcade area where most of the bars are. It has a small indoor section and a large patio area, both covered and open-air. They feature the only always naked deejay in town. People were complaining a bit about his music selection, but I frankly had NOTHING to complain. Maybe because I live in the US where dance music is notoriuosly plain, boring, repetitive and uneventful (sorry guys, I'm an Italian guy who happens to live in the US. I love the US, but fact is, in Italy we are graced with some of the best dance clubs in the world). Problem is, there always seems to be a wider variety of styles and types of music in European clubs than in US clubs.
Anyways, I keep on referring to Le Look as a club... It's NOT really. It is a bar... But we always turned into a dance club anyways. By late evening pretty much everyone was dancing around the bar! Thanks to the deejay I discovered some cool French songs, such as Q.I. by Mylene Farmer (the remix, of course).
We're not much of drinkers, but their drinks were fine. The waiters were courteous, and the manager is a hunky tall German guy (who often wears trampoline heels, btw).
It's quite cold at night in Cap in August, so people would be wearing clothes. I know we were. There was one older, nice looking gentleman who would always show up naked. Brave guy :).
It was really too chilly for my Mediterranean blood.
Straight/bi couples would show up, too, and they seemed to be having a lot of fun. Not too much in terms of attitudes. I never cared for young "stars" (or anybody below 40, except for friendship, that is), but the guys seemed genuinely nice. We met a variety of people from all over the world.
I definitely look forward to going back to Le Look!

Bespectacled Older German Gentleman at the Rene' Oltra campsite at Cap

So, over the last two years while at Cap in August I couldn't help but notice this sexy German older man, late-50's / early-60's at the Rene` Oltra campsite. Cap d'Agde, here I come! [Again, and hopefully a LOT... again ;-)]

So, 8 months have gone by since my last post... As I figured, there hasn't been a single day when I haven't daydreamed of Cap and of going back there.
So, as it turns out, I will be there TWICE this summer!

1) by myself in June, from June 9 to June 17.
My partner TJ is one of the organizers of MMNG, Mid-Missouri Nudist Gay gathering, and he needs to be back in the US for two weeks.

2) with my cute partner TJ, from August 1 to August 17.

I look forward to playing a LOT. In June I'll be staying by myself in my small 3-person tent (one of those fun 3-second Quechua tents). I'll be taking LOOOONG showers in the main area in Alley N as usual, looking for action. I'll also visit the dunes and the gay beach regularly. Yep, in that order ;-). I'll often eat late lunches (2 PM) at my favorite spot, Le Mississippi. After 10 PM I'll be at the gay bar in town, Le Look. Late at night, when only those who are looking for action are still awake around the campsite, I will be lazily stroking my dick on a chair in front of my tent... Oh my, I'm hard again just thinking about it ;-).

In August we'll be staying in a large tent with our two gay Italian friends, P. and A. We'll be looking for friends, old and new, and good, fun people to play with.
